Discovering what`s possible

The re-design of 4 acres of established formal lawns and steep-banked impenetrable woodland which was home to abundant wildlife, was a long-term project for a client passionate about his house and gardens and the spectacular country-side they are set in.

A network of paths leading through previously un-explored woodland was created, linked by two sets of over 200 Yorkstone paved steps.

Two semicircular terraces provide viewpoints across stunning views framed by trees underplanted with shrubs, bulbs and woodland perennials.

What was once a shady, inaccessible corner of the garden was transformed into a tranquil pond and dramatic bog garden while Yorkstone walls were constructed to retain wide, flat formal lawns leading up to the house.
